Official Launch and Tent Village
The official ceremony launches the activities for the Scotiabank Toronto Caribbean Carnival Festival Season. It is a snapshot of what’s in store over the coming weeks. Here you can experience the rhythms and vibes of Scotiabank Toronto Caribbean Carnival and join in the celebration of the creative spirit of Caribbean carnivals and Scotiabank Toronto Caribbean Carnival events and other events happening in and around Toronto.
Junior Carnival and Family Day
This event provides families and the surrounding community the opportunity to experience the thrills and joys as young masqueraders participate in their earlier festival years. These young revelers parade in their costumes before the judges along the Parade route, which ends in Downsview Park for a family day of celebration. The Children’s Breakfast Club and the Metropolitan Toronto Police Services support the event.
Canada versus Jamaica Rugby League
This is year two featuring fans of Rugby League, the sporting arm of the festival. This event will feature a matchup between the Jamaican International team and Team Canada for the festival cup.
